SLAT supports its employees in their incredible projects!

Edgar TOURNON, who works in R&D at SLAT, plans to cover 10,000 kilometers from Toulouse to Dakar. He'll be taking in parts of the legendary Paris-Dakar route, and also following in the footsteps of the aeropostale adventurers who stopped off in West Africa before setting off across the Atlantic.

An ambitious and innovative project !
Edgar and his team-mate Bernard will cross plains, deserts and mountains, at a rate of 200 km per day. For this feat, they have designed a recumbent solar-powered four-wheel drive tandem. They hope to cover these thousands of kilometers in total energy autonomy. The bike's electrical assistance will be provided by a solar roof, installed above the cyclists.

A generous and visionary project !
On their way, Edgar and Bernard plan to stop off at universities and schools to share some unique moments. This will be an opportunity to communicate about eco-mobility and the project that drives them.

This challenge is in line with SLAT's low-carbon policy, which is part of new solutions for the planet.

We're all cheering Edgar on as he carries out his project!
